Prostate Protocol

We have joined a national study sponsored by Accuray enrolling patients with Low Risk (CS T1b-T2a, Gleason ≤ 6 & PSA ≤ 10) and Intermediate Risk (CS T2b, Gleason ≤ 6 & PSA ≤ 10 or CS T1b-T2a, Gleason = 7 & PSA ≤ 10, or Gleason ≤ 6 & PSA > 10 & ≤ 20) prostate cancer for CyberKnife radiosurgery. The treatment consists of 4 fractions of high-dose radiation delivering a total of 38Gy. Early single institution studies demonstrated biochemical control of over 95%.

Please call our office at (626) 768-1021 if you would like to enroll patients onto this protocol.

Valorie

Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM)

In February 1969, Valorie’s arteriovenous malformation (AVM) bled for the first time. She felt extreme pain on the back of her neck, her body shook with spasms for about an hour and the right side of her body went numb. Valorie’s parents thought she had thrown out a vertebra in her back.
